Remembering September 11th [Video]

In honoring the 13th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center (WTC) and Pentagon, we set out to explore the national memorial museum that opened to the public on May 21, 2014.

The new 9/11 Memorial Museum is located right at the WTC site in lower Manhattan, highlighting victims and heroes of the 2001 attacks, as well as authentic artifacts including glass, steel, help-letters and more found on-site during the cleanup.

“The most interesting thing about this story is that there is no single story,” Lead Exhibition Designer Tom Hennes said. “There are hundreds and thousands of stories of 9-11 and the central feature of the museum really is that these stories are shown together.”

There are almost 3,000 “stories” that each illustrate the defining moment in American historic uniquely. Watch to see how the 9/11 Memorial Museum pioneers described it to us below…
